The Bucks Play Final Oakland County Match
Second-Place Indiana Invades Birmingham on Sunday

The Mid Michigan Bucks minor league soccer team continues its Premier Development League (PDL) season this weekend, including a match with the Indiana Invaders in Birmingham on Sunday. This will be the Bucks second, and final, regular season match at Birmingham Seaholm High School this season. The Bucks (3-1-1) trail the Invaders (3-0-2) by one point for second place in the Great Lakes Division. Only two teams make the playoffs from each division and the Chicago Fire Reserves currently hold first place with a 4-0-1 record.

Tickets to Sunday's 7:00pm kick-off can be purchased in advance for only $6.00 from the Bloomfield Force/Flames and Michigan Wolves/Hawks soccer clubs, at George's Soccer Stores in Lathrup Village and Troy or at Global Soccer Store in Lake Orion. Fans may also reserve discounted tickets by calling (734) 483-GOAL. Tickets at the gate will be $9.00 for adults and $6.00 for students.

Mid Michigan is playing Indiana for the second time this season. The first game, which was suspended after 70 minutes (due to lightning) in Argos, IN, resulted in a 1-1 tie that cost both teams a spot in the US Open Cup. After just five games, the Bucks are beginning to show their potential. Many players showcased their skills in an impressive 4-1 victory over the Dayton Gemini last Saturday in Canton, MI, including the Bucks' first player to be named this season to a "PDL Team of the Week", Pat Noonan..

Mid Michigan's leading goal scorer Pat Noonan, a contender for National College Player of the Year, tallied two more goals Saturday giving him four on the year. On the defensive end, John Swann and Shawn Lee have contributed tough physical play and shown their ability to contribute to the offensive attack by tallying a goal apiece this season. Veteran Eric Pogue has continued to show his dominance in goal for the Bucks. In his five starts, he has allowed just six goals while making 29 saves. Each member of this deep team brings talent and experience to the field, which has produced some entertaining soccer for enthusiastic crowds.

The Bucks will begin their weekend schedule with a Saturday evening match against the Chicago Eagles Select at Devilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio. Kick off is scheduled for 7:30 and tickets can be purchased by calling (734) 483-GOAL or at the gate.
