BUCKS WIN OVERTIME THRILLER IN BERKLEY
Goals in 90th and 106th Minutes Save Mid Michigan

The Mid Michigan Bucks broke in their new home with a dramatic victory at Berkley's Hurley Field, 3-2, over the Toledo Slayers Monday night in two overtimes. Kevin Taylor (University of Michigan) sent the game into extra-time with a goal in the final minute of regulation on a nice feed from Stephan David. John Minagawa-Webster (MSU, Monroe) headed home the game-winner, a cross from defender Nate Craft, who made a long run up the left side. The Bucks out-shot the Slayers 43 to 10 for the game. Eric Pogue made 23 saves in a losing effort, many of them of the spectacular variety.

"I was not happy with how we came out to play, but you have to admire the determination our boys showed. Their goalkeeper was unbelievable, but we just kept coming at him," said Bucks coach Don Gemmell. Mid Michigan scored twice in the second half, erasing a one-goal deficit, with Paul Snape finishing a rebound of Minagawa-Webster's shot from close range at the 55 minute mark. But the Bucks could not hold the lead, giving up a penalty kick goal to Bobo Bokole in the 62nd minute. Toledo's Abdulaziz Aldilaimi scored the game's first goal with a beautiful left-footed blast from 25 yards out to beat Bucks' keeper, Peter Dzubay, in the game's 29th minute. Assisting on the goal was Trey Blanks.
