Saturday Night Win in Canton Pushes Soccer Club to 7-1-1 Mark

The Mid Michigan Bucks minor league soccer team continued its winning ways
Saturday night with a 2-0 victory over the Toledo Slayers at Plymouth-Canton
High School. The Bucks (7-1-1) now hold a two-game lead over the
second-place Indiana Invaders (4-3-1) in Great Lakes Division play. Paul
Snape (Oakland University) got the Bucks on the board in the first half and
Simon Omekanda (Rochester Adams) connected in the second, while Peter Dzubay
(University of Michigan) earned his third shutout of the season in net.
Mychal Turpin (University of Michigan) assisted on both goals. With two
league matches remaining before the June 25th US Open Cup showdown with the
Long Island Rough Riders, Mid Michigan now faces West Michigan in Holland on
Tuesday and return home to Canton next Saturday night to take on the
Columbus Stars at 7:30pm.

Goals: BUCKS - Snape (Turpin, 21st min.); Omekanda (Turpin, 57th min.).
Shots: 15-4, Bucks Saves: 10-3, Slayers Fouls: 10-8, Bucks

Bucks' Line-up: Dzubay, Perry, Taylor (David, 22nd min.), Heinemann,
Rzepka, Turpin, Nelson, Craft, Cameron (Alexander, 73rd), Snape (Webster,
45th), Kithas (Omekanda, 52nd).
Toledo's Line-up:. Pogue, Iding, Braithwaite (Behan, 60th), Bennett,
Scheall (Freudmann, 77th), Khalil (Wakawa, 69th), Aldiami (Blanks, 72nd),
Roudbari, Bruh, Bokole (Uzoigwe, 63rd), Wells.

US OPEN CUP MATCH IN DETROIT
The Bucks will be hosting a Round Two match against the D-3 Pro League
Champion Long Island Rough Riders in the US Open Cup, the country's premier
soccer tournament which gives lower level teams like the Bucks a shot at the
top pro division squads, on Wednesday, June 25th at Hurley Field in Berkley.
Tickets will be $9 for adults and just $5 for kids (under 19) in uniform at
the gate on game-day. Fans may also reserve tickets at these prices in

BUCKS NEXT GAME AT PLYMOUTH-CANTON IS ON 21ST
The Bucks' next game at Plymouth-Canton High School will be against the
Columbus Stars on Saturday, June 21st at 7:30pm, with tickets costing just
$9 at the gate. Discounted tickets are available at Bucks ticket outlets
throughout the metropolitan Detroit area. Fans wanting more information
