BUCKS REMATCH WITH KALAMAZOO IN SAGINAW
Stretch Drive For Playoffs Begins Tuesday Night

The Mid Michigan Bucks minor league soccer team looks to move one step closer to securing a playoff berth when they take on the Kalamazoo Kingdom Tuesday night at White Pine Middle School in Saginaw. Tuesday is the first of only three remaining home games for the Bucks this season, and the last time the Bucks will play at White Pine Middle School this year. The gates will open at 6:30pm and play will begin at 7:30. Tickets can be purchased for only $5.00 in advance by calling (989) 781-6888, or at the gate for $8.00 per adult and $5.00 for students

The Bucks recently enjoyed a week off from Premier Development League (PDL) action and are now ready to make that final drive for a playoff position. Mid Michigan is currently standing in second place in the Great Lakes Division, just 11 points behind the leading Chicago Fire Reserve, and 9 points ahead of the West Michigan Edge - with six games remaining. Indiana and Kalamazoo are also still alive with 24 points. With the Fire Reserve losing 2-3 to West Michigan last week, the Bucks still have an outside chance to take the division title (PDL teams receive four points for a victory, one point for a tie and one point for scoring three or more goals in a game). Only the top two teams from each of eight divisions will advance to the playoffs.

Eric Pogue will return to the Bucks lineup this Tuesday after a one game stint with the A-League Hampton Roads (VA) Mariners. He was picked up by the team on June 24th and helped them defeat the South Jersey Barons 1-0 on June 26th. This was one of several times Pogue has joined the professional ranks, including opportunities with the New England Revolution and the Dallas Burn, both of Major League Soccer. Though flattered to be picked up by Hampton Roads, Pogue maintains that the Bucks are still his first priority. "I'm really very comfortable and happy playing here with the Bucks and helping our team try to win our first-ever PDL National Championship," replied Pogue.
